School Hours:  The school day for high school students will be 7:30 a.m. – 2:27 p.m.  Upon arrival, HS students will report to their 1st  period classroom.  Students eating breakfast will go to the cafeteria first, then to their 1st period classroom.  All students should be in their 1st period classroom by 7:30 a.m. Students will be permitted to enter the building in the morning at 7:05 a.m. and should exit the building at the end of the school day by 2:50 p.m., unless they are participating in scheduled after-school activities.

Lockers:  Students have the option to request a locker.

Student Parking: Student parking permits are $25 per school year.  Students may park in any numbered space in the parking lot behind the high school until parking permits are issued.  More information will be provided during the first two weeks of school.

Transportation: The district transportation department will notify families of bus routes, pick up/drop off times, and bus stop information for each student.  For the first week, parents and students should expect delays in pick up and drop off times—as much as 30 minutes—due to students and bus drivers learning new routes and stops.  Students should plan to arrive early to the bus stop and wait patiently as everyone adjusts to the new routine.  Students being driven to school should enter the campus from Leitersburg Street and follow the traffic pattern to the north exit.  The student drop-off point is at the front corner of the high school building.

Career Tech Students: First Semester GAHS students attending the Franklin County Career and Technology Center will begin classes on August 25.  Students utilizing GASD transportation will board the FCCTC bus upon arrival to GAHS.  Please refer to the FCCTC website www.franklinctc.com for more information.

College Advisor: Through a continued partnership with Franklin and Marshall and The National College Advising Corps, GAHS welcomes back Miss Caroline Cuetara, College Advisor.  Miss Cuetara will work with students and their families to provide one-on-one college and financial aid advising.  In its twelfth year, this program has already proven to be of great benefit to GAHS students and their families.  Parents and students are encouraged to take advantage of this excellent resource.

Food Service: The Greencastle-Antrim School District operates in accordance with the regulations of the National School Lunch Program and is under the supervision of Mrs. Nancy K. Foust, Director of Food Services.  Meal prices for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows:

High School lunch will cost $2.80; reduced lunch price is $0.40
High School breakfast will cost $1.65; reduced breakfast price is $0.30
Milk will be $0.50/carton

For more information about the student lunch program, School Café accounts, menus, or to apply for free/reduced meals visit www.gcasd.org and navigate to Food Service Department on the District menu.  Households without access to a computer should contact the Food Service office at 717-597-3226, ext. 50505, for more information.

School Supplies: High school students should come to school the first day with their charged iPad, pencil/pen, paper and a pocket folder.  There is not a general supply list for high school students. Teachers will inform students of any additional supplies they will need in each of their classes.

As summer quickly winds down, the faculty and staff of the Greencastle-Antrim School District look forward to the 2022-2023 school year.  Local residents are reminded to slow down as they travel area roads and look out for students and school buses.  We are G-A Proud!
